Dragon Journey (2025)

‘Dragon Journey’ is the final game design project for my Game Design class at the University of Michigan - Flint. The game is designed like CandyLand, where you move around the board from start to finish. However, instead of just using colored cards, it uses a dice roll to determine the player’s turn. Also, different icons on the path will affect the player's turn and the chances of winning the game. The cards are like SceneIt games, where the Buzz cards determine the action for the players’ move, either forward or backward. The game explores ‘Survival of the Fittest’, moving through the game and seeing how each player reaches home in one piece without relying on one another.

The project is themed ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ because not only do I love the franchise, but there are not very many physical games. The franchise is only known for a variety of video games. The objective of the game is to survive the journey getting back home without your character getting delayed or killed.
